The Rocky Mountain Development Centre is nestled at the foot of Vancouver’s North Shore mountains, home to some of the world’s most diverse and rugged terrain. They’ve been developing high performance mountain bikes
there since 1981, when a few guys in the basement of a Vancouver bike shop began building bikes to handle the rigorous of the local trails.

Many things have changed since they first opened their doors, but their product developers, engineers, marketing nerds, sales reps, and athletes are still a tight-knit crew that works and plays in those mountains. Whether it’s an after-work ride, a weekend adventure, or international epic, mountain biking is the foundation of their culture and their work.

Over the last decade or so, Rocky Mountain has continued to carve out a name for itself, creating quality bikes ahead of the industry curve. From freeride to enduro to marathon stage racing, the goal has always been to get more people on better bikes.


“We didn’t want to be the biggest bike company in the world, just the best” was the trio’s shared maxim. Together Jim, Bill and Michael developed a singular goal: to build a bicycle brand dedicated to technological innovation and unmatched quality.
Since those fledgling days the Felt brand has grown far beyond its triathlon roots, and today includes a complete bike line that touches all of cycling’s various disciplines. Whether climbing the highest peaks of the Tour de France, bombing down single-track, racing your first triathlon, or commuting to work, Felt delivers a bike with uncompromised performance, maximum comfort and optimized efficiency.

On the competition front, Felt is a dominant player. Highlights include dominating wins at all three grand tours, the Project London track team shattering the U.S. team sprint record and Kristin Armstrong’s time trial victory at the Tour of California. Other notable Felt driven efforts include triathlon star Andi Böcherer’s victory at the Ironman 70.3 European championships, Thomas Litscher’s U23 UCI Mountain Bike World Championship and of course, Mirinda "Rinny" Carfrae's amazing record-breaking performance at the 2014 IRONMAN® World Championships.
